Basil leaves chutney

Tulsi or Basil chutney goes well with Idli, Dosa, rice, and Phulkas. This chutney can also be used as a sandwich spread. It has numerous health benefits like preventing cold, cough, headaches, heart diseases, stress, asthma, and premature aging. Tulsi is also an excellent mouth freshener which boosts immunity and helps in skin care.

  • Tulsi – 1 cup 
  • Mint leaves – 1/4 cup 
  • Green chilies – 2 numbers 
  • Almonds – 6 numbers (cashew nuts can be a substitute to almonds) 
  • Garlic cloves– 2 numbers 
  • Tamarind paste – 3/4 tsp 
  • Salt – to taste

Grind all the ingredients together and make it a paste. Add water if you do not need it thick. 
Your Basil chutney is now ready to be served.
