Home remedies for Gastric problem


Tasty food is something that most people can't resist themselves from eating. At times, we overeat and that causes indigestion & bloating. Not just overeating, eating junk food, not eating on proper time and unhealthy lifestyle contributes to indigestion and gastric problems.

Here are some home remedies that help you to get relief from indigestion, bloating and gastric problems.

Mint Tea

Mint is used as an effective remedy against many health problems. In case of bloating and gas, it works wonders. Mint is a calming and soothing herb that has been used for thousands of years to aid with upset stomach or indigestion. Mint is thought to increase bile secretion and encourage bile flow, which helps to speed and ease digestion.

Preparation

  • Roughly tear fresh mint leaves with your hands and place them in a small strainer placed over a teapot or glass bowl. 
  • Bring the water to a boil and pour over the leaves. Cover the teapot or bowl and let the leaves steep for at least 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Gently bruise the mint leaves with the back of a spoon to release the oils, then remove the strainer pressing on the leaves to extract as much liquid as possible. 
  • Pour into teacups or mug and sweeten with honey to taste if desired.

Ajwain (Carom Seeds)

One of the most crucial health benefits of ajwain seeds to add it to your meals is because it keeps your stomach strong. The active enzymes in ajwain help in boosting our digestive functions by facilitating the release of gastric juices. 

Preparation
  • Take 1 teaspoon of cumin 
  • 1 teaspoon of carom seeds 
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder to it. 
  • Take this mix with water daily to cure heartburns.

Ginger Tea

Ginger is always been known to cut bloating. So it should come as no surprise that this benefit extends to ginger tea as well. It can also be used to cure motion sickness and headaches.

Preparation
  • Take a piece of ginger, about 1 to 2 inch long. 
  • Peel the skin and add it to boiling water. 
  • Boil it for 3-5 minutes, strain and serve. 
  • If it's very bitter for you, then add some honey to it. 
  • You can also add some lemon which will cut the acidity.
